Service and repairs

SMMS recognises the need for immediate and expert attention to propeller damage and for regular inspection and servicing of propeller components, to keep the ship in service and to operate at the best possible propulsive efficiency.

General Services

A worldwide network of service units and agencies has been built up to provide rapid response to the needs of the ship operator. The service provided is comprehensive - including straightening, cropping, welding, reshaping, polishing, overhaul, part replacement, inspection and non-destructive testing. As well as having a well equipped workshop to perform all propeller servicing, our uniquely trained and experienced Engineers and Technicians are able to carry out the work involved whether the ship is in dry-dock or afloat.
